Yoga with Chinatsu always brightens my day (or evening).
Don’t let her soothing voice and small frame fool you. She’ll take you on a challenging, different and widely varied journey in each session. (This is critical for me as I bore easily with the same, monotonous, regimentally scripted workouts typical of larger studios.)
One of my favorite classes with Chinatsu is her Slow Flow. Slow does not mean easy. I find the deliberate concentration of the proper stance of a pose, controlled breathing, and mindfulness in Slow Flow is in fact more exacting than vinyasa flow. You’ll notice your core muscles and balance are actively engaged in Slow Flow. If not, Chinatsu comes around and adjusts you until you really feel it!
Another popular class with Chinatsu is the evening Yin Yoga. Restorative and healing poses are held for 4-6 minutes. In this time and as you sink deeper in a pose, stress and tension are released from your body. As done in all her classes, Chinatsu offers modifications to poses to tailor for beginners to advanced yogis, and for yogis with injuries or other health conditions. Before each pose Chinatsu always cheerfully forewarns, “choose wisely!”
Chinatsu makes yoga a fun workout that one can joyously look forward to and stick with. A great byproduct is my new circle of “Ommies” who also enjoy following Chinatsu’s yoga path.

My practice with Chinatsu set me on a course of self-discovery that I never thought was possible. Through masterfully curated sequences, music and flow - Yoga with Chinatsu has given me the strength I needed to take back control of my life and recognize my own resilience.
In 2021, I uprooted my life, quit my job, ended a relationship and moved back home with my family. Plagued by fatigue, chronic pain and brain fog, I knew I needed to make a big change.
I’ve tried to find the benefits of yoga many times in my life. But after my first class with Chinatsu, I was finally hooked.
My perfect recipe is Yin and Vinyasa every week. With these tools I have been able to come back to life and back to myself. I feel more confident and am amazed by what I can accomplish every class.
I will never take Yoga or Chinatsu’s mentorship for granted. My newfound community and self-love are absolutely priceless!

"When I met Chinatsu, I was a few years into my yoga journey.
I am an active person. However, in 2014 I had a run in with cancer, and was humbled. I began practicing restorative yoga and very slowly worked my way up. Yoga helped me get back to health, physically and mentally. I was introduced to Chinatsu while she was volunteering her service for the Cancer Support Community South Bay. The class had a mix of advanced and novice students, even some were practicing recently after their surgery or while in treatment. She taught the class so all received benefits of yoga with no judgments. Though I am recovered, I keep yoga in my life because of the many benefits.
Chinatsu is caring and passionate about yoga. Her passion and her personality make her class fun. With all the variations Chinatsu teaches the classes are versatile for all levels of yogi’s and are as challenging as one wants.
